DAY 3 | BANGKOK
After breakfast at the hotel, your private guide will pick you up for a half-day excursion to visit two of Bangkok’s top cultural attractions—the Damneon Saduak Floating Market and the Maeklong Railway Market.
Damnoen Saduak is the most popular floating market and located around 110 kilometers west of Bangkok. A trip to this Thai phenomenon is like traveling back to the ancient times of the Siam Kingdom, where colorfully clad merchants paddle along the narrow canals. The Floating Market is an ideal place for tourists to see the old style and traditional way of selling and buying fruits, vegetables and other from small boats. Tourists will also be able to see traditional Thai houses and the way locals use boats in their everyday lives. During your visit, there will be lots of activity and bargaining is part of the fun of the sale. The market’s popularity among visitors has grown over the years and outside the traditional means of selling and trading food and drinks, souvenir shops around the market are home to some of the best local handicraft one can buy. The tour includes a visit to the rural Maeklong Railway Market or Talad Rom Hoop (closing umbrella market).
Return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Optional Tour: A morning with the elephants is an eye-opening and inspiring experience. Following a scenic drive along a local village, you will arrive at Phuket Elephant Sanctuary, a picturesque jungle dotted with ponds, wide open fields and hillsides for the elephants to roam around. Your visit starts at our Tree Top Reception and Observation Platform, where we will watch an educational video to prepare you for your encounter with the elephants and to help you understand why they need to be protected. Next up, you will feed the elephants. While they enjoy their baskets of bananas, pineapples, and cucumbers, you have a chance to learn from our guides about the background of each elephant. Once the elephants are fed we walk with them down into the jungle. By keeping a safe distance and watching them from our Observation Salas, the elephants have the freedom to express their natural behavior, from bathing and playing in our pond to socializing with each other. Located in Southeast Asia, Thailand covers a total area of approximately 513,000 square kilometers (198,000 square miles) and is the 50th largest country in the world and the 12th largest in Asia! Thailand is divided into six regions: North, Northeast, Central, South, East, and West.
Thailand has three seasons: wet, cool, and hot. Depending on where and when you travel Thailand, it is always good to check the weather before visiting as some areas are better in certain seasons.
Thailand is a mind-expanding vacation destination. If you can get past the plane ride you'll be able to mark this down as an adventure you'll never forget. There is a lot to Thailand, which is why many who travel there stay 10 days to a month or more. Our trip for 8 days and 7 nights
1. Affordable Food and Lodging
The dollar goes a long way in Thailand. There are hundreds of hotels and guesthouses available for prices that sound like America in the mid-20th century. Thai food is likewise inexpensive, and often the street food vendors, who typically sell dishes for what Americans consider pocket change, offer the most delicious stuff. Want to splurge? That's even better because Thailand has some outstanding hotels and resorts, all for significantly less than you would pay back home.
2. Year-Round Sunshine
Whether you visit in December or May, expect warm weather and mostly clear days in Thailand. There are seasons in Thailand; they’re just a little different from the ones Americans are used to—cool, hot, and rainy.
3. Beautiful Beaches
Thailand has some of the best beaches in the world: warm, clear water; stunning vistas; and marine life to gawk at as you swim, snorkel, or scuba. Plus there are so many different types of beaches in Thailand, from quiet and laid back to party all night, that everyone can find the perfect fit.
4. Terrific Thai Food

Few will argue that Thai food isn't delicious. But if you’ve only been exposed to it at Thai restaurants in the United States, you’re in for a surprise. Here in Thailand, the food is better, there is more variety, and it’s very inexpensive. You’ll easily find favorites such as Thai curry, but you’ll also find a wide selection of salads, noodles, and snacks. And believe it or not, with apologies to the American South, Thailand has delicious fried chicken.
5. Splendid Shopping
If you like markets, bargains, or cool and quirky stuff, you’ll find shopping in Thailand rewarding. Big city markets carry everything from shoes to art, and the malls in Bangkok are some of the fanciest in the world.
6. Easy Travel &Interesting Cities
Once you’re in the country, it’s easy and cheap to get around, thanks mostly to local budget airlines such as Nok Air, AirAsia, and Bangkok Airways. If you book ahead and aren’t traveling during the peak season, it’s quite common to get a round-trip ticket from Bangkok to Phuket for an extremely affordable fare.
7. Friendly People
They don’t call it the “Land of Smiles” for nothing. While there are occasional tourist scams and once in a while, you’ll encounter someone who isn’t smiling, by and large, the people of Thailand are friendly, open, and kind to foreign visitors.
Continue to 9 of 10 below.
8. Breathtaking Buddhist Temples
Buddhism is Thailand's predominant religion, and it influences everything from the architecture to the way people interact with one another. All of the country’s major cities have breathtaking Buddhist temples to visit; Chiang Mai and Bangkokhave the lion's share.
9. Renowned Nightlife
Whether you are on the beach or in one of Thailand’s cities, you won’t be far from the bars and nightclubs that have made the country famous. Don’t worry: it’s not all go-go bars and scantily clad women. There are plenty of discos, nightclubs, and regular bars, too.

Sitting on Patong Beach, Impiana Resort Patong, Phuket provides an accommodations with a private patio. Beautiful sunsets and views of tropical gardens accompany its award-winning restaurant.
