The key to the Carnival Mardi Gras is planning early!

I can't tell you how many people have reached out about the Carnival Mardi Gras since its debut in Jan. 2019. One common denominator we found between those who inquired and actually booked is the price was higher than their normal expectancy of Carnival cruises starting with prices as low as $149 per person...well, that's what the radio commercial said (without including the taxes, port fees, government charges, vacation protection or gratuities."

As with anything, the price reflects the inherent values of your purchase. To cruise on one of the newest ships sailing the seas for six, seven and fifteen-days at a time, experiencing revolutionary firsts, premier accommodations and unique experiences. It's not to say that you don't deserve this, but if your bank account is not set up to drop the required $150, $250, or $500 per person deposits to begin your booking its likely that planning early is the best option for you keeping in mind that final payment will be due sixty days prior to your sail date as a general rule of thumb.

Whether you choose to use our Financing Option with approvals in as little as 60 seconds, or you elect to try our free, no credit-payment plan offers, or group bookings starting as low as $12.95 per person you can plan your trip up to 2 years in advance, giving you the opportunity to make low, affordable monthly payments and create an experience of a lifetime.

Here are some amazing facts about the Carnival Mardi Gras:

NEW Family Feud™ LIVE game show!!!

FAMILY FEUD LIVE

Family Feud™ has been delighting viewers at home for generations, but you’ve never had the chance to buzz-in on a cruise ship — not till Family Feud™ Live exclusively hits Mardi Gras in 2020. On every sailing Carnival will be hosting four unique games on an authentic Family Feud™ set, right down to the iconic Face-Off podium, plus all the excitement of Fast Money! There’s even a version where kids can get in the game! Since we know how much entertainment the host can bring to the game, Family Feud™ Live will be emceed by none other than your cruise director. So if you’re game, sign up your team of five for an audition. Don’t worry, we won’t judge you… but your fellow cruisers will, so make sure your team brings that Family Feud™ spirit to the audition. You can even join the studio audience for an evening of four shows… where folks will get plucked from the audience to compete in the “Insta-family” version of the game!

First-Ever Roller Coaster At Sea

In another cruise industry first, Carnival Cruise Line’s Mardi Gras™ will feature the first-ever roller coaster at sea. BOLT™: Ultimate Sea Coaster™ is a heart-pounding rush of adrenaline offering nearly 800 feet of exhilarating twists, turns and drops with riders reaching speeds of nearly 40 miles per hour.

Taking cruise industry innovation to new heights, BOLT is an all-electric roller coaster that allows two riders in a motorcycle-like vehicle to race along a track 187 feet above sea level, enabling guests to experience the sea in an exciting new way with breathtaking 360-degree views. Riders’ speeds are posted after the race, and just like land-based roller coasters, guests have their photo taken during the ride for a memorable keepsake.  And since guests choose their own speed, each ride is unique.

NEW - Carnival Introduces "Zones" on the Mardi Gras!

We are excited to announce that Mardi Gras will be our first ship to introduce themed zones! Each area is uniquely inspired to create a different atmosphere than the next and will allow your clients to create their own personalized vacation with dining, libation, entertainment, recreation, and relaxation options.

ZONE 1: GRAND CENTRAL

On a Carnival cruise your client's vacation starts in the atrium, and on Mardi Gras that’s in the Grand Central zone. By the way… on this ship the atrium’s different. Tell your clients not to be surprised if they step inside and the first place they want to look is upwards. Up there are high ceilings that hint at even more fun living on the three decks above! But they should look around too… they’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows that really bring in the ocean views. Of course they’ll be back here throughout their cruise, taking a break with a nice cup of coffee, enjoying live music up on stage, or killing time fabulously with a handcrafted cocktail in between evening shows. In Grand Central, no one is ever far from great dining spots like Bonsai Sushi and Bonsai Teppanyaki, plus feel-good entertainment like Piano Bar 88 and The Punchliner Comedy Club.

ZONE 2: THE FRENCH QUARTER

If “big” and “easy” sound about right for your client's vacation, they might just make the French Quarter on Mardi Gras their home zone. What inspired this place is no less than New Orleans itself… and if all this talk of NOLA has you half as hungry as we are, you’ll be pleased to hear that The French Quarter is lined with bars and eateries worthy of their namesake, spots serving up everything from small plates to classic Hurricane cocktails straight from the bayou. Just steps away there’s entertainment inspired by the world-renowned Crescent City nightlife — yep, there’s a hot jazz club in this zone — plus your clients are not far from more bars, lounges and some funky little shops. And while we’re not one to brag about our friends, one of these spots is being designed in partnership with a name you definitely know!

ZONE 3: SUMMER LANDING

Go ahead and call Summer Landing “the greatest chill spot at sea”… and we’ll be right there with your clients, any time of year! Know what goes great with chilling outdoors? BBQ, so we’re building a Guy’s Pig & Anchor Smokehouse | Brewhouse into this zone to make sure it always tastes like summer here, courtesy of freshly-smoked faves designed by Guy Fieri. Your clients wouldn’t be surprised that the pool and whirlpool aren’t far, but would they have guessed that there’s even original Parched Pig™ beers brewing just a few feet from the tap?

ZONE 4: LA PIAZZA

La dolce vita is within reach at La Piazza… and we’d know, with all the Italian seafaring spirit that’s literally driving the ship. This zone stands for flavor, and it starts with Cucina del Capitano, which brings your client's party together for an evening of Italian favorites served family-style, while Pizzeria del Capitano makes delizioso happen for you 24 hours a day atop a base of imported Italian flour and fresh mozzarella. Atmosphere is everything here, so roaming musicians provide an authentic soundtrack to your time in La Piazza. Mardi Gras debuts a new Mediterranean spot specializing in seafood, plus there’s even a bar where you’ll sip authentic espresso drinks by day and classic Italian cocktails when the sun goes down.

ZONE 5: LIDO

If your clients have cruised with us before, they know Lido… but aboard Mardi Gras this poolside zone features even more delicious and fun ways to spend a day. Everybody looks to Lido for variety, and with tons of casual dining spots you’ll discover new experiences among the flavors that keep our guests coming back. They can take in a Dive-In Movie at the pool and they're not far from signature Carnival favorites like Guy’s Burger Joint, the New England-inspired Seafood Shack, and BlueIguana Cantina taco spot. And for folks hoping we haven’t forgotten: yes, Lido is absolutely home to fan-favorite Swirls, the free soft-serve spot cranking out the cool 24 hours a day!

ZONE 6: THE ULTIMATE PLAYGROUND

Don’t let the name fool you — this zone is ages everybody and up. Kids are going to love this. And for the adults, the playground has grown up with them. So yay for play! Of course The Ultimate Playground starts with BOLT™, the first rollercoaster at sea, the largest Carnival WaterWorks ever with three huge spiraling slides, plus SportSquare is here featuring an entire mini-golf course, full-court basketball and a ropes course. And, of course, more. Ultimate enough for your clients?
